In July this year, WiN IAEA members had the opportunity to meet Dame Fiona Rayment at a special social gathering hosted in collaboration with the UK Mission to the UN in Vienna.
Dame Fiona is an internationally renowned engineering leader whose pioneering work has advanced innovation in the nuclear sector for more than three decades. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to engineering, she received the prestigious 2025 Frank Whittle Medal from the UK Royal Academy of Engineering.
She is also Chair of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency High Level Group on Gender Balance and former patron of Women in Nuclear UK, and has long championed greater diversity and inclusion across the nuclear sector.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to strengthen collaboration across the Women in Nuclear network, exchange ideas on current initiatives and future plans, and explore new ways to attract, support and empower more women in the nuclear sector.
Together, we are building connections, strengthening our network and shaping the future of Women in Nuclear.
A special thank you to the UK team for creating this fantastic video, which beautifully captures the spirit of the event: https://lnkd.in/d5Phtu37
