Happy International Women’s Day to the women whose skills, knowledge, and expertise are essential to the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

We thank everyone who joined us on Friday in demonstrating our collective commitment to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 — from the diplomatic community in Vienna to international organizations at the Vienna International Center, Seibersdorf, and Monaco.

Special appreciation to the Group of Friends led by the Embassy of Belgium in Vienna, the Permanent Missions of the Dominican Republic and Japan, and the Friends of Gender Equality at UNODC and UNIDO, for uniting to advance equal rights, justice, and opportunity for women and girls worldwide.
